December Content Updates

Happy December Everyday Speechies!

We have several highlights this month and a bunch of new and exciting things to share with you! Let’s take a look!

This month, we are continuing to add materials to the Building Confidence goal we released last month! You will find there are two new videos and two new activities that you can use to help your students gain self-esteem and build confidence inside and outside the classroom.

Additionally, we are adding several new videos and new activities to some of our existing goals including: Using Your Self-Controller, Handling Conflicts with Friends, and Being a Social Chameleon. We also have new games and game prompts coming your way: Social Road Race: Solving Problems with Friends, Puzzle Solver: Self Controller, and Tic-Tac-Moji: Playing with Friends. And of course, we have a brand new winter activity!

Check out and learn more about all of these new materials below!

New Craft

Winter Activity: Turn and Talk Snow Globes

For this activity, learners have the opportunity to put together their very own winter-wonderland snow globe. Once they’ve created their snow globes, encourage learners to turn and talk with a classmate to finish the statement, “If I lived in a snow globe…” to find out everyone’s unique and winter-themed answers!

New Games

Tic-Tac-Moji: Playing with Friends
This game is a great way to review and practice identifying a wide range of emotions using our Everyday Speech SocialMojis! Answer and have discussions around SocialMojis that appear with each question prompt about playing with friends to further strengthen students’ understanding of playing well with others and identifying different emotions.

Social Road Race: Solving Problems with Friends
We have added several new prompts to this existing game! This game focuses on solving common problems or conflicts with peers and friends. Players will work on determining how big the problem is, breaking down actions and consequences, and assessing solutions, all while having fun!

Puzzle Solver: Self-Controller
This digital puzzle will give preschoolers and early-learners a calm activity to redirect focus or offer a break while reviewing social skills, like using their “self-controller,” with their favorite animated characters.

New Videos

New Interactive Activities

We announce updates and release brand-new materials every month, so stay tuned for more!

Happy Teaching!
