We’ve redesigned Everyday Speech to make it faster and easier to find the materials you need. Some users have been granted early access today, and everyone will get to experience the updates in July 2025.

All our materials in one streamlined experience

We’ve brought all the materials Everyday Speech has to offer into one integrated experience. We found that educators were spending too much time toggling back and forth between our curricula—so we designed a time-saving update that brings everything into one curriculum.

You can now find Intervention Materials for Tiers 2 and 3, Whole Class Lessons for Tier 1, and Mindfulness Materials, in one easy-to-navigate curriculum.

The added benefit of all our materials living in one seamless experience? It makes it much easier to collaborate with other educators, share strategies, and create shared language.

“It helps me be able to see the full picture and how we work together as a whole in our whole school system. It’s just really helpful and fascinating because sometimes you only see your piece of the puzzle.” — Kayla Ford, Special Education Teacher

Watch the video below to get a brief walkthrough of what’s new.

Smarter organization of materials

The organization of our Intervention Materials has also received a major upgrade. Previously, our Tier 2 and 3 materials were organized into 17 targeted skills. To enhance navigation and usability, we’ve streamlined these into 7-10 core skills per grade band, now organized alphabetically.

This reorganization makes it easier to find relevant materials while maintaining the same depth of content. In fact, while there are fewer skills, there are actually more resources available—just thoughtfully consolidated to make them faster to find without an overwhelming navigation.

For instance, Conversation Basics, Advanced Conversation, and others—were previously their own skills. Now, they are grouped more intuitively under Communication, making it simpler to locate exactly what you need.

Our Tier 1 materials continue to follow the familiar week-by-week structure that educators rely on—we know how crucial it is to maintain consistency in scope and sequence throughout the school year.

Our research confirmed the impact of these changes: 100% of testers found their desired materials faster with the new organization, and were able to navigate to what they needed in fewer clicks.

Grade-level filters for easier access

One of our most highly-requested features is now here—grade-level filters! We heard from countless educators that sorting materials by grade level would make lesson planning smoother and more efficient.

Choose between Pre K-K, Elementary, and Middle and High School within our Intervention Materials. In our Whole Class Lessons, easily toggle between all 12 grade levels of content.

With this update, you can quickly narrow down resources that align with the specific developmental needs of your students. Whether you’re working with early elementary learners or older students, these filters allow you to find age-appropriate materials in just a few clicks.

Hundreds of new materials

Users of our Social Communication and Social-Emotional Learning curricula now have access to hundreds of new materials! These additions expand our already robust library, providing even more videos, activities, and worksheets designed to support a diverse range of learners.

  • Social Communication Curriculum users now have access to new Mindfulness Materials and videos in topics like Growth Mindset and Positive Self-Talk.
  • SEL Curriculum users now have access to new materials across targeted skills like Self-Regulation, Academic Readiness, Communication, and more.

Here’s an example of a video on Communication, accessible in our intervention materials for Middle and High School students.

Enhanced search across all tiers

We’ve made big improvements to our search functionality, which now enables you to easily search through all the materials we have to offer, across all three tiers. Easily access your recent search history and auto-completing content recommendations.

Based on over a year of research and proven to save you time

Each of these updates is backed by a year of research and direct input from educators. 100% of research respondents preferred the new design over the previous version. Here’s why:

  • Find materials in fewer clicks with a more intuitive layout
  • Spend less time prepping and more time teaching with smarter organization
  • More easily collaborate with your team seamlessly using shared language and co-teaching strategies

We can’t wait for you to experience the update
