Repair the Conversation
We can think of a conversation like a train on the tracks. We want to keep it running smoothly. If students have a communication breakdown, they should:
- Realize the conversation is off track - is someone giving us signs that the conversation isn’t going smoothly?
- Next, figure out where it went off track.
- Last, think of a way to get it back on track and running smoothly.
