Jeff is working on the computer when Mike and Kate want to talk. Jeff doesn’t turn around from the computer, so his friends aren’t sure if he wants to talk. Jeff should show he’s listening with his eyes, ears, and body. Next time, he turns around to make sure his friends know he’s listening.
Use Listening with Your Body – Older
Listening doesn’t just happen with our ears. Our entire body can show that we are listening. In fact if we don’t show we are listening with our bodies, we can end up hurting other people’s feelings or getting in trouble at school. Model what it looks like to use your face and turn your body to show you are listening.
